On The Bus or Off The Bus

Once upon a time, a newly-integrated organisation chief shared her vision, passion & drive for a united team , using the following quote (in red) as the high - light of her inaugural preso:
“There are going to be times when we can’t wait for somebody
Now, you’re are either on the bus or off the bus.
If you're on the bus, and you get left behind, then you''ll find it again.
If you're off the bus in the first place - then it won't make a damn."
Ken Kesey
How many of us know that Kesey was a hippy of the 60's?
The origin of this interesting methaphor of "Being on the Bus" can be found here -

Back to the chief's bus with everyone on board. Hallucinating drug trip, it was not! Enroute, many outside the sista & brudder-hoods cryptically checked "how many or who's left?". Some self-styled clairvoyants predicted "bus going bust".

Well, as they say, it's now history, or rather her-story.
